Guide to Artillery Ridge Campground & Horse Park

Please review and follow to ensure the safety and enjoyment for all our guests!

  1. Speed Limit: 9MPH Please use caution children at play!
  2. Check in: 3:00pm.  Early check-ins welcome at no additional cost if you site is available. 
  3. Check out: 1:00pm.  Any guest on site after 1pm will be charged an additional night. 
  4. Guests:  The nightly rate includes up to 2 guests and 4 adults.  Additional nightly adults are $5 per person and additional children are $3 per person.  A maximum of 8 guests is permitted on RV and tent sites.  Cabin rentals are based on per person occupancy.    
  5. Quiet Hours: 11:00pm – 8:00am.  Generators, diesel engines or bright exterior lighting may not operate during the quiet hours.  No loud music, excessive noise, or disorderly conduct will be tolerated.
  6. Alcohol:  Restricted to the campsite.  Please drink responsibly.  Violators will be asked to leave.
  7. Smoking:  Restricted to the campsite.   
  8. Pets: Pets are welcome for all guests traveling in an RV or staying in a cabin.  A $15 charge per pet per night is added to all cabin rentals.  NO pets are permitted on tent sites.   
  9. Vehicles:  All cars must be parked correctly on your site and may not be parked in the street.  Please be sure to follow all posted speed limits in the park. 
  10. Firewood:  The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has issued a notice prohibiting the movement of all species of firewood into the State.  DO NOT bring any firewood to the campground.  Firewood is available on site at all times through our firewood kiosk!  The kiosk offers a bundle of wood and accepts cash and credit cards.    
  11. Fires:  You are responsible for your fire.  Do not leave it unattended.  All fires must be kept inside the provided fire ring and the flames should not exceed 1 foot over the ring.  No outside rings permitted on site.  Enjoy the S’MORES!
  12. Picnic tables and Fire rings:  Both are provided at each site.  It is prohibited to move any of them throughout your site.
  13. Golf Carts:  Permitted but must be registered in the office.  Operator must have valid Drivers License and insurance.  No ATVs. 
  14. Children: 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 any time they are off the campsite in the park. 
  15. Visitors:  Day guest visitors are welcome to visit from 8am – 10pm for a fee of $6.00 person and $10 per vehicle.  Please register at the front office upon arrival
  16. Drones:  For the privacy of our guests drones are not permitted on property unless otherwise approved by management.
  17. Pond and Fishing: Catch and release so the fish can keep growing bigger!  No swimming in the pond at any time.
  18. Garbage:  Household trash only violators will be fined or removed.  Please refer to the map for locations of dumpsters.
  19. Fireworks and Weapons:  Fireworks (including sparklers), firecrackers, explosives, firearms or weapons of any kind are not permitted

Deposit Policy:  A one night deposit is required to confirm a reservation. 

Cancelation Policy:  Please review the three tiers of our cancelation policy below:

  1. If you provide MORE than 10 days notice, a $15.00 service fee is charged and all deposit monies are refunded. 
  2. If you provide LESS than 10 days notice, a full night deposit is forfeited and the remaining deposit monies are refunded. 
  3. All no show reservations and/or any guests who does not provide a notice for cancelation will forfeit all deposit monies.

No Refunds For Early Departures or if asked to leave by Management.

Pool

Opens at 10am.  Closes 30 minutes before office Sunday-Thursday, 8pm Friday & Saturday.

NO Lifeguard on Duty.  Swim at your own risk.  Anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guest that is 18 years or older.  No glass, alcohol, smoking, or pets in the pool area.  No diving or running.  Please refer to and follow all remaining posted rules.

DID YOU KNOW?

-The National Riding Stable located onsite provides guided tours of the historic Gettysburg Battlefield on rescue horses!  All of the horses used for tours are now here living their best life!  Book your tour today!

-Our putt putt course is FREE for all to play from dusk to dawn!  Balls and clubs are located in the office.  Please follow all posted rules while on the course.  There are no lights on the course. 

-Need firewood but the stores closed?  NO problem we have a firewood vending machine!  Bundles are available any time and the kiosk conveniently takes cash and credit cards.

-Our swimming pool is heated so guests can enjoy swimming earlier and longer into the season!

-Artillery Ridge Campground & Horse Park is the “closest campground to history,” and located within walking distance to battlefield trails, information center, and more. 

-Artillery Ridge Campground is named so because during the Battle of Gettysburg, The Union stored all of their artillery at what is today’s campground location! 

We hope you will all be doing a tour of Gettysburg during your stay.  In the meantime, here are some Battle of Gettysburg fun facts:

-The battle was fought at Gettysburg because of the area road system-it had nothing to do with shoes.

-The First Day’s battle was a much larger engagement than is generally portrayed.

-The Second Day’s battle was the largest and costliest of the three days.

-Of 120 generals present at Gettysburg, nine were killed or mortally wounded during the battle.
